About Vanessa Kate

VK Branding has been established for five years, though following this, I have personally worked across the digital landscape since I started my career in early 2016.

Before this, I interned at Bauer Media, formerly home to iconic beauty and lifestyle magazines such as CLEO Magazine, Cosmopolitan Magazine, and SHOP! Till you drop & more. Ironically, in my early interning days, I wanted to work at the famous 54 Park Street in Sydney. Fast forward a few years, and Bauer Media eventually bought out the company I started working for in 2016 - how's that for manifesting?

Starting as a receptionist with Beautyheaven and BEAUTYDIRECTORY in early 2016, I originally aimed for a career in journalism, fueled by my passion and studies at Macleay College. However, my boss recognised my client interaction talent, steering me towards sales and client management, where I discovered my knack for direct engagement.

During this time, I was lucky enough to work with some incredible brands such as Schwazrophf, L'Oreal (retail), ECOYA, Peppermint Grove Candles, LYCON Cosmetics, Burts Bees and Dr Lewinns, just to name a few.

It's 2024, and as I write this, VK Branding has transcended beyond social media marketing to encompass website customisation, branding, content creation, consulting, and email marketing.

I've found that a single-point-of-contact approach yields better results than navigating multiple contacts across various projects.

My ethos revolves around fostering personal connections and nurturing relationships - the key to successful partnerships in my opinion.

Today, I specialise in B2B and B2C dynamics, primarily within the beauty and lifestyle sectors, although I've ventured into finance, real estate, hospitality, and coaching realms over the years.

So why does this matter? Because it paints the picture of just how much I loved what I did and do, and when an opportunity came to evolve my skills and do something on my own, I knew I wanted to stick to the niche I knew and loved (beauty) across the field I was confident in (digital).

Working with me is not like working with an agency - I choose to stay small but nimble because I love working 1:1 with people, simple as that.

It's too easy to get lost in the crowd and become a number, so I have always preferred personal connections, even in my early days as a Sales and Client Manager - every client would have weekly communication, and that’s how I still work to this day!

I love to start with a conversation to understand what you want to be known for and who you want to be known to - simple questions, yet they are so impactful for brand building.

If you're ready to elevate your brand, let's connect and explore the possibilities together.
