About Vanessa Kate

Hi, I’m Vanessa - Founder of VK Branding, a boutique consulting agency helping beauty, wellness, and lifestyle brands build a standout online presence through strategy, content, and connection.

Before VK Branding, I was immersed in the media world. I interned at Bauer Media, home to iconic titles such as CLEO, Cosmopolitan, and SHOP! Til You Drop. I once dreamed of writing from their famous HQ at 54 Park Street. A few years later, Bauer acquired the very company I began working for in 2016.

That role started at the front desk of beautyheaven and BEAUTYDIRECTORY. I planned to pursue journalism, but quickly discovered my strength was in people. I moved into client management and brand strategy, where I thrived.

During that time, I had the opportunity to work with incredible brands like:

  • Schwarzkopf

  • ECOYA

  • Peppermint Grove

  • LYCON Cosmetics

  • McPherson’s

  • L’Oréal

 

In 2019, I launched VK Branding to serve the beauty and lifestyle industry with a more personal, high-touch, and strategic approach.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with more than 100 brands and business owners — from household names to high-performing founders across Australia’s beauty, wellness, and lifestyle space.

This isn’t a traditional agency. It’s a boutique model designed for clarity, quality, and relationship-led results.

What started as social media soon expanded into:
